Mr. Sloan is Managing Director in the firm's Dallas office.  Prior to co-founding Cogent Partners, Mr. Sloan was with Goldman Sachs & Company in New York, where he worked in both the international finance and structured products groups. At Goldman, Mr. Sloan executed some of the largest multi-currency financings done in Europe and Asia. He also spent time structuring and supervising direct investments for Goldman Sachs.

Prior to Goldman Sachs & Company, Mr. Sloan worked in the financial services practice of Price Waterhouse in the San Francisco office, where he performed financial and accounting services for many prominent investment and private equity firms.

Mr. Sloan earned an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, an MA degree in international studies from University of Pennsylvania and a BA in accounting and information Systems with a Japanese minor from Brigham Young University. He is also fluent in Japanese.
